About WeatherNormal
WeatherNormal is an independent weather and travel reference in the US city climate normals and travel weather space. Average monthly weather and the best time to visit US cities, from NOAA Climate Normals.
What we do
We turn the official NOAA NCEI U.S. Climate Normals (1991–2020) into fast, answer-first pages. For each of our 40 US cities you get a 12-month table of average highs, lows, precipitation and snowfall, plus a data-driven best time to visit. We also publish rankings (warmest, rainiest, driest, snowiest) and a free packing & comfort tool.
How we work
Every figure is a NOAA 1991–2020 normal, captured as a committed dataset and verified per city against the published source — we never invent a value. Pages are static, load instantly, and cite their source and station. See our methodology for the stations used, how "best time to visit" is computed, and the data's limitations.
Important
Climate normals are 30-year averages, not forecasts. They describe typical conditions, but any individual day can differ. Always check a live forecast before you travel.
